Have you seen us on the box?

You may have caught our new advert on television in May. The campaign hopes to promote alternative finance to a wider audience. We’re pleased to be the first independent invoice finance provider to advertise on national TV in recent memory.

You can view the new advert on our Bibby Financial Services YouTube channel, we also host case studies on YouTube so don’t forget to subscribe!

New South Coast Team

In May we announced that we’d appointed Nick Carter to head-up a new sales team to cover the south coast as we have plans to increase lending in the region. Nick is a proven deal maker with previous experience at HSBC, HBOS and Lloyds.

Our growing south coast team are available now and ready to speak local businesses in the area who need our help and advice. Get in touch if you’d like to chat.

Strongest Q1 performance since 2008

Also in May, our Business Factors Index recorded the highest level of first quarter output among our 4,000 invoice finance clients. These are the most positive figures since the lowest point of the economic downturn in 2008.

This suggests the UK enjoyed its strongest level of activity year-on-year for six years. The picture was marred slightly by results among construction SMEs who showed the lowest level of activity since the first quarter of 2009. You can read more about the Business Factors Index here.

Manchester moves

Dan Burton was appointed head of sales in our Manchester office, as part of a plan to increase funding support to businesses in the region. Dan has been with us for seven years and was recently nominated for Insider North West Young Professional of the Year 2014.

Dan is well known for putting together a number of memorable deals, including a facility for Montgomery Tomlinson, which saved many jobs in the North West area.

More senior appointments

Ian Lomas, former Lloyds Commercial Finance Client and Collateral Management Director confirmed in May that he will join Bibby Financial Services as Niche Products Director. Ian has 22 years’ experience in the invoice finance market.

This follows a string of senior appointments with Mark Lindsey now heading-up Bibby Trade Finance, the appointment of Helen Wheeler as Managing Director of Construction Finance and Marie Harvey taking-up the role of Managing Director for Export Finance.
