Infographics are a useful tool for getting information about alternative forms of finance out to journalists, commentators and business owners interested in learning about invoice finance and what it can offer.
The SME tracker
Our first infographic is a visual representation of our SME Tracker research. The SME Tracker, is a quarterly survey of 1,000 SME owners and decision makers and it highlights business sentiment on key issues.
The survey focusses on business owners in different sectors including; construction, manufacturing, transport and wholesale. The survey is a snapshot of current and emerging trends, and we’re pleased to say that business owners seem to be in a largely positive frame of mind.
Business on the up
As you can see from the infographic, 55% of businesses achieved sales growth in Q2 2014. Other positive figures include; 32 per cent of businesses seeing lapsed customers returning, 47 per cent of those business owners saw an increase in new customers.
Looking to the future, 59 per cent of business expect to invest and 57% of those quizzed expected sales to increase. While this is all good news, we also wanted to know about the challenges owners faced.
32 days to get paid
On average SME owners are waiting 32 days to get paid, and 10 per cent of those surveyed were also using personal savings to help fund the business.
Rising competition was a popular topic that troubled a lot of business owners, red tape and regulations troubled 13 per cent of those asked. Access to finance was a worry for 6 per cent of those surveyed.
